The search to discover new young talents to perform at the inaugural Malaysia Music Festival has finally ended. Last Saturday, twenty participants participated in the M-Fest live audition at the SEGi University College, Kota Damansara and nine of them were selected to take part in the music festival on 3rd December 2011. The festival which will be held at the Cheras Badminton Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.
Those selected will get to perform with some of the biggest local entertainers such as Yuna, Gary Chaw, Z Chen, Victor Wong, Bunkface, Ah Bin, Gin Lee, Danny One and ThomasJack. They were selected from various universities, backgrounds and nationalities.
Among those selected are a band consists of members from five different nations, a hip hop dance crew, musicians and vocalists.

马来西亚音乐节2011
马来西亚音乐节或取名“Mfest ”是由一班热爱音乐的发烧友们创建并希望借此活动推动及培育本地音乐产业发展。
参与演出歌手包括曹格，YUNA，张智成，品冠，Bunkface，东于哲，方炯斌，温力铭和李幸倪，该音乐会拟定于2011年12月3日，晚上6点正在蕉赖室内羽球体育馆进行。
日前，马来西亚音乐节已经从首20强参赛者中选出最后9强。评审阵容包括著名歌手周博华，温力铭及著名音乐人饶善强。这首9强将会和参与马来西亚音乐节的9组歌手于12月3日在MFEST同台飙歌，
9强中，六组来自马来西亚，两组来自新加坡以及一组由来自多个国家的青年组成的乐队。除此之外，荣获现场最多观众支持票的首3强将获得奖金及获得最高支持率的参赛者将获得SEGi 大学学院全免学士或硕士进修课程，课程赞助细节以SEGi大学学院的现有课程为准。参赛者的支持率以面子书的“喜欢”次数和以现场入场票投票统计为准。
